Directions from London
A21 into Hastings - road becomes Sedlescombe Road North.
Continue straight ahead until third roundabout. Turn left into St Helens Road, (A2101 signed Hastings town centre)
Continue along the side of Alexandra park until roundabout. Go straight across, the road becomes Queens Road.
At the bottom of Queens Road, all traffic has to turn left. After Wellington Square, take the next left into Castle Hill Road. Continue forward into Milward Road. Bear right into Wellington Road.

(Keep on the same road, as marked by the white lines, it changes name frequently, but is fairly obvious.)
Continue forward into Priory Road - (you are now at the top of the West Hill, with some of the best views of the town, and the castle is just behind you)
Just after a children’s playground, turn left into Plynlimmon Road.
After 50 yards, the road bends right (you will see the Angel pub), take the little rough track to the left of the corner.
The track descends quite steeply for a hundred yards, and you will find the iron gates to The Beacon at the end of the track.
